P2 Magnificent World of Maths

Your child will explore topics such as Arithmetic, Estimation, Geometry, Logic and Cryptology, while immersing in a magical world, solving mysteries and engaging in exciting games!

Programme Highlights

  • Mastering speed maths techniques: mental arithmetic of 3 digit numbers
  • Estimation: An early exposure to the topic of fractions. Students will also cover estimation of fractions, which is beyond the Primary 2 syllabus.
  • Activity time: Employ spatial sense to arrange tangram pieces into tessellated shapes
  • Crack the mystery case of 'The Lost Ring' using cryptology
  • Bring home your very own 'Once Upon A Crime' game set!

Amazing World of Science: Fascinating Forensics

 

For P5 & P6 Students

 

For P5 & P6 Students

Forensic science is the application of science to criminal justice. This programme introduces students to the scientific principles and techniques used in crime investigation – from identifying the victim to analysing evidence at the crime scene. 

Through hands-on experiences, students will gain a basic understanding of techniques like blood typing, fingerprint lifting and bloodstain analysis. They can also witness how scientific concepts are translated from the classroom to the real world as they apply the techniques to analyse and solve virtual cases, including a virtual crime scene walkthrough.  

Programme Highlights

Our Amazing World of Science curriculum emphasises the importance of experimentation and inquiry, and encourages children's innate love for exploring the world around them. Each session is a highly engaging session, with hands-on project and fun activities.

  • Preventing crime scene contamination
  • Victim identification methods
  • Analysing physical evidence (footprints, stride analysis, bloodstains)

Frequently Asked Questions

1. If I cannot make it for some sessions of the programme, can I still sign up? Is the content covered related?

You can still attend the session as different topics are covered over the 3 days. Should you miss any session, worksheets (including takeaways if any) and answer keys (if any) will be provided. 

 

2. Will there be any homework? 

There will be no homework. Students will go through the entire worksheet/activity during the programme duration. They will get to bring home games related to the activities for continued learning and solutions will be provided for these games. Worksheets will be marked and the questions will be heavily guided by the teacher due to the nature of the activity-led sessions.
