The Gifted Education Programme (GEP) is aimed at preparing intellectually gifted youths for leadership in government service and top corporations. All Primary 3 students are eligible to participate in the two-stage selection process, but only the top one per cent of students are admitted into the highly competitive programme.
In accordance with the MOE's screening criteria, The Learning Lab's GEP Excellence programme provides specialist guidance on strategies and techniques to excel in the test components of English, Mathematics and General Ability.
Designed as a head start preparation module for the P3 GEP Screening Exercise which takes place in August each year, this P3 GEP Excellence programme exposes students to the test components for English, Maths and General Ability.
Teachers will guide students to master various methods of solving such questions so that they are able to face the GEP Selection Test with confidence.
*Both our Primary 2 and Primary 3 programmes prepare students for all test components, but they are pitched at different levels of difficulty according to student ability.
Students will complete stimulating exercises to help them hone their critical thinking skills and gain exposure to these components that are not seen in regular curriculum.
Students will attempt questions to sharpen their critical thinking skills through maths components.
Students will be trained to sharpen their critical thinking skills through general ability questions.
