Every lesson is designed to help your child learn the topics from the school syllabus and achieve key learning milestones.
This means that there's always room for progression, improvement and increased confidence.
We cover topics like driverless cars and the Super Blue Blood Moon and use hands-on activities or project-based learning to help students understand concepts such as Geometry of the Life Cycle of Plants.
Our materials have built-in features that help your child take notes efficiently, analyse questions precisely and craft answers with care. Lesson activities are planned to motivate students to communicate, ask questions and clarify doubts.
Every activity booklet or handout your child receives is based on our expert knowledge of changing examination and question trends. Multiple feedback channels help us continuously update our curriculum and maintain the highest standard of excellence.

Joyce Simpson
Academic Director
Rochester Mall
Joyce graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Science, with majors in Political Science and Corporate Communications, from Singapore Management University. After having spent a couple of years in another industry, Joyce decided to join The Learning Lab in March 2014, fuelled by her passion to nurture a love for learning in children and to put the whole learner at the heart of things. Over the years, Joyce has taught a range of TLL English classes, spanning from Early Years to Upper Primary and GEP students. Between 2017 and 2020, Joyce served as the English Subject Head at TLL (Rochester Mall). Besides mentoring and training new teachers, she also supported a team of passionate English teachers to deliver inspiring and effective lessons that bring out the very best in every child.
My child’s teacher was very proactive in addressing my concerns and helped my daughter settle smoothly into TLL – I really appreciated that. Besides her dedication to reassuring parents, my daughter’s teacher is very meticulous in the delivery of her lessons. She is very patient and always has a smile on her face, regardless of the situation.
The staff at TLL is also doing a great job and the service so far has lived up to my expectations. What keeps a child at a centre is not only the child’s experience, but also the parent’s experiences with the staff – many centres do not involve the parent’s experiences and don’t realise that their experience matters as well. My journey at TLL has really been quite a wonderful one.
My girl has seen great improvement in her studies since she joined TLL. Last month, I enrolled her in a second subject and am now considering enrolling her in a third!
- MS SAJINI APOK
Parent of P3 student, enrolled in English & Science at TLL Rochester
"Recalling the lessons I’ve had in Paris 1 or New York 5, the most valuable one I gained was the sense that the world is my oyster.
I took English from P4 to S4, and the fondest moments have been those where my teachers and I discussed the many happenings outside of the classroom.
Be it my teacher’s fondness for architectural marvels across the world as a window shedding light on the ebbs and flows of the global economy, or her entertaining stories of her childhood encouraging reflection on our own educations, I have learnt much more than just English itself.
I am privileged to feel like I can now feel the pulse of this vast world, becoming an active participant in it, and in large part I have because TLL encouraged me to find this world beyond the classroom."

TLL student from 2004 -2010
