Frequently Asked Questions About Our Special Programmes
Will there be any homework?
There will be no homework. Students will be given time to try most questions as part of class work. For the remaining questions, students can try them at home and check their answers against the answer keys.
Will the worksheets be marked?
For English, components like composition writing will be collected by the teacher for marking. For other components, our teachers will go through the answers in class. Due to the intensive nature of the programmes, our teachers will focus more on the teaching content, question analysis and answering methods/techniques. Hence, answer keys are provided to ensure that there is a model answer to check against after the programme ends. This is unlike our core programme where we do not typically provide answer keys.
If I can only make it for 1 day out of the 2 days, can I still attend the session? Are the contents covered related?
My child already attended the P3 Intensive Revision programmes in March/June? Is this any different?
Yes. While some of the components are the same, the topics and questions are different. This is a good programme to sign up for if you would like your child to have more practice before their first examination at the end of the year.
My child already attended the P4 Intensive Revision programmes in March/June? Is this any different?
Yes. For P4 English, other sections of the exam paper (i.e. cloze passage and visual text comprehension) are covered. Students can recap skills for tackling the open-ended comprehension and try out a new range of questions for both comprehension as well as synthesis and transformation.
This is a good programme to sign up for if you would like your child to have more practice before their end of year examinations.
Is the P4/P5 Intensive Revision programme targeted at mainstream or GEP students?
My child already attended the P5 Intensive Revision programmes in March / June? Is this any different?
Yes. For P5 English, other sections of the exam paper (i.e. comprehension, vocabulary, cloze passage, synthesis and transformation) are covered.
This is a good programme to sign up for if you would like your child to have more practice before their end of year examinations.
