Dear Ms Song,

I’d like to share with you that I achieved top score in my English PSLE (2023). I am writing to express my gratitude for your teaching and guidance over the time when I attended your English lessons in The Learning Lab (TLL). Thank you for the constant encouragement, advice and endless patience correcting my worksheets, composition and other mistakes.

Sometimes it was late at night or weekend yet I still received your response at soonest possible. Your style and approach to teaching English had greatly improved my vocabulary and composition writing skills over the relatively short period of time (I started with TLL in January 2023, beginning of my P6). The additional learning from TLL had helped me gradually achieve better scores in school exams over the year of P6. With that, it also helped to boost my confidence in exams.

I will be always grateful for your patience, kindness and support to my success in this year’s PSLE. I am going to start my secondary school life in about a month, and will always remember the teachers’ words in my mind, including yours. Ms Song, thank you again.

At the mere age of 11, I was faced with a daunting challenge: A very undesirable report card, a horrible attitude in learning and an overall lack of passion in studying. However, when I was introduced to The Learning Lab in 2019, I felt as though I was rejuvenated: I gained the thirst to achieve stellar grades, I rediscovered my passion towards learning. The teachers there were patient and brilliant educators, making the mundane syllabus seem like an interesting challenge.

I have stuck faithfully with TLL throughout the remainder of my Primary school life and stuck with them throughout my Secondary School life. In all honesty, they were the ones that got me through my Secondary School journey. I would like to applaud magnificent teachers like Ms Lan Hui Qi, for simplifying A Math and making it a breeze for me. Thank you to Ms Amira for her jokes and interesting ways to keep the students excited throughout the mundane nature of English class. Thank you for Mr Tan in Physics for staying back after class to cover up my lacking points in Physics. Thank you to the other educators that I have met along the way! TLL is indeed a great place, not only to ensure that you would score, but also ensure that lessons are fun and interesting in all aspects. Should this chance ever arise, I would do it all over again!

Our upper primary tuition classes for Primary 4, Primary 5, and Primary 6 students cover the three core subjects of English, Mathematics, and Science. Lessons are designed to suit each year’s MOE-approved curriculum and learning goals in order to support your child’s journey towards PSLE. This means Primary 4 tuition will focus on intermediate foundations, Primary 5 tuition will consolidate that knowledge, and Primary 6 tuition will emphasise revision, evaluation, critical thinking, and exam-answering skills.

Can you provide details on the class size for upper primary tuition sessions?

Class sizes for our upper primary tuition programmes range between 10 to 12 students, for all subjects and levels.

What is the process for enrollment in upper primary tuition classes, and are there any placement assessments for new students?

The Learning Lab does not conduct placement tests, unless the student is in an international programme.
