Logical thinking goes hand in hand with problem solving. In this camp, students will be exposed to logic through games and puzzles that will stretch their brain power.


 

Efficient Estimation

Estimating is an important part of mathematics and is a very handy tool for everyday life. Students will be trained to find the number that is close enough to the answer without a ruler or a calculator.

Clever Cryptology

Learning to construct and solve codes is intriguing. Students will explore cryptology while applying mathematics to solve and break secret codes.

  • Estimation: Learn how to use your body as a measuring tool
  • Craft time: Employ symmetry and create the best aerodynamic paper planes
  • Crack the mystery case of the Sneaky Shoplifter using ciphers
  • Bring home your very own "Party Planner" puzzle game

  • Mastering speed maths techniques — mental arithmetic of 3 digit numbers
  • Terrific tessellations and tangrams — demonstrate creativity and illustration
  • Crack the mystery case of the Lost Ring using cryptology
  • Ignite curiosity through the story of the wizard in the Magical World of Deduction — make deductions using elimination and cross reference skills
  • Bring home your very own "Once Upon A Crime" game set

 

 

Primary 3

Highlights of Primary 3 programme include:

  • Play the Maths Scrabble game by following the order of operations — solve complex numerical expression without a calculator
  • The Price is Right — understanding the rules for rounding off numbers and estimation for big figures
  • Create beautiful modular origami — put your child's measuring skills to test
  • Crack the case of Burglary Mastery by deciphering Morse codes and Semaphore
  • Bring home your very own "Cake in Cubes" puzzle
