For K1, Hanyu Pinyin is not the main focus. However students are exposed to it in their worksheets and words cards to prepare them for our K2 programme.

For K2, Hanyu Pinyin is an integral part of the curriculum. Students learn the complete HYPY syllabus (including tones and word blends) to better prepare them for their transition to Primary 1.

For Primary 1, our curriculum continues to emphasise on HYPY as students will be tested on HYPY in school assessments. The systematic learning of HYPY (based on MOE syllabus) is incorporated into our weekly curriculum and students are required to do more HYPY exercises in Term 1.

For Primary 2 to 6, HYPY is practised through language use practices, vocabulary drills and mock assessments.
