A teacher may employ one or a few of several methods.  Our teachers assess the needs of the class as a whole and the time of year (i.e. start of the year, near the exams, post-exams etc)

In class a teacher may modify tasks for students in terms of the number of questions or the complexity of questions for verbal or board work responses.

A teacher may also work closely with parent(s) to talk about homework load and additional ad hoc assignments.

Additionally, a teacher may sometimes assign a “buddy” in class to help any particular student to adjust to academic rigour. Above all, each teacher is nurturing, supportive and attentive, constantly monitoring the needs of individual students as well as the needs of the class.
